An incredibly rare, & one of a kind double sided station clock of huge proportion by Gents Of Leicester.

English 1930’s.

This beauty has been fully authenticated as a Great Western Railway station clock, which from new, this clock hung pride of place in Bristol Temple Meads train Station, on platform 12, Reading side.

It recently featured on Salvage Hunters The Restorers; whereby is was given a full restoration overhaul by the very talented Bo Hare of Who Hares Wins.

Standing a massive 41″ in diameter, this is one of the finest station clock we have own. The striking clock dial depict two eras of time; the Roman numerals being the original clock dial from the 1930’s & then in the late 60’s early 70’s when the twenty four clock was introduced, the dial was completely over painted by Bristol station to allow ease of reading the time by their commuters. Its was only in the restoration process that underneath the painted dial that the original dial was discovered. Therefore it seemed only right to make the use of both fantastic features, making this clock the only one in the world!

Original & fully working condition, still retaining both Gents of Leicester movements.
